DATEFIT DATA DELETION POLICY

Overview

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their data from Datefit. This policy applies to all users, including those who signed up using Facebook Login.

How to Request Data Deletion

If you wish to delete your data from Datefit, you can do so by:

Email Request: Send an email to support@datefit.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your name
  • The email address associated with your Datefit account
  • Confirmation that you wish to delete your account and associated data

In-App Deletion: You can also close your account directly through the Datefit app settings.

Removing Facebook App Access: If you remove Datefit from your Facebook app settings, you can request deletion of data collected through Facebook Login by emailing support@datefit.com.

Processing Time

We will process your data deletion request within 24 hours on business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been completed.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will delete:

  • Your profile information and photos
  • Your account credentials and login information
  • Your chat history and messages
  • Your preferences and settings
  • Data collected from your Facebook account (if applicable)
  • Location data and device information

What Data May Be Retained

In certain circumstances, we may retain some data for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Records necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or enforcing our Terms of Service
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you personally
  • Information required for financial recordkeeping or tax purposes
  • Data already shared with third parties prior to your deletion request (subject to those third parties' own policies)

Any retained data will be kept only as long as necessary for these legitimate purposes and as permitted by applicable law.

Data Shared with Third Parties

Please note that if your data was shared with third-party service providers or business partners before your deletion request, those third parties may retain data according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party services you interacted with through Datefit.
